What a great place to visit! Especially in February when London is a bit too chilly.
On a sort of last minute thing, we found out Isabel had some time off from School, so we decided to take a break. We wanted somewhere warm, but not somewhere that was on the top of our list while we're here. Several people I work with suggested we go to Barcelona. I checked the weather forecast and the greatest chance of rain was 10% - We booked an EasyJet flight for the four of us and reserved a hotel - we were set. We bought a few books on the Barcelona area, and an English-Spanish conversion book. We didn't need it too often, but it did occasionally come in handy!

The Beach The City The Gondola Ride
We gave the kids a break from walking around the city and looking at all the buildings by going to the beach. We all had a good time, so much so that we went back for a second visit (the beach).
The city was great - as Spain's second largest city, we found it very easy to get around. We walked many miles and Isabel kept right up as Peyton was the only one in a Push Chair (Stroller for our fellow Americans).
Although Tina's not the biggest fan of heights, she bravely went with us on the Gondola ride across part of the bay and city. As shown from the pictures below, the views of the city were awesome. The restaurant (last four picts) was at the other side of the ride.
In 1992, Barcelona hosted the Summer Games. Although we couldn't get into the buildings, we were able to walk around the surrounding area.
Barcelona is known for a lot of the local Architecture. The pictures below are of two of Gaudi's buildings, Casa Batllo and Casa Mila.
